Project Manager

Job Responsibilities:

  • Attend project kick off meetings with customers to assure projects scope and understand customers’ expectations
  • Develop Gantt charts and monitor progress of deliverables
  • Weekly production meetings to ensure projects stay on track
  • Work with suppliers to schedule project lead times
  • Procurement of materials
  • Owner of full purchasing, shipping, and inventory management processes
  • Regular communication with customers regarding status updates
  • Monitor budget and costs throughout the project lifecycle
  • Work with engineering team on project modifications
  • Support sales team by giving accurate lead times that fluctuate due to backlog levels
  • Coordinate factory acceptance tests with customers
  • Oversee fulfilment of documentation requirements to customers including certifications
  • Active champion of Mactec’s LEAN implementation processes
  • Monitor inventory levels to assure necessary quantities for production
  • Present post project analysis to management team for purpose of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in project management
  • Knowledge of process equipment (packaging equipment is a plus)
  • Experience with project management software
  • Engineering background and or degree is a plus
  • Extremely well organized

Sr. Mechanical Technician

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Travel up to 60% in support of installation, startup, and service of automated packaging machines
  • Must be resourceful and able to work through mechanical issues with little to no supervision in a fast pace environment
  • Troubleshoot/ modify PLC code, HMI code and servo code as well as modify PLC and HMI code under the direction of engineering.
  • Perform FAT runs with customers to meet their specifications and perform trouble shooting
  • Light machining of parts
  • Ability to read/update schematic diagrams and BOMs
  • Create documentation and detailed descriptions of the service trips

Qualifications: 

  • 7+ years of experience as a mechanical technician, preferably in packaging machinery or related industry
  • Familiar with basic mechanical / electrical comprehension, assembly methods and procedures
  • of packaging machines and systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills in regard to automated packaging machinery
  • PLC knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of CE wiring regulations
  • Experience reading and following assembly drawings
  • Experience and knowledge of Servos
  • Knowledge of pneumatics
  • Ability and willingness to be a team player
  • LEAN manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of flexible unit dose packaging is a plus

Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities

  • Permanent position for a Mechanical Design Engineer to design packaging machinery
  • Detailed design of components, machines, and layouts using SolidWorks.
  • Build BOM’s.
  • Design ancillary custom equipment (feed systems, specialized applications)
  • Create new concepts and designs for parts and equipment
  • Maintain engineering software.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and packaging issues.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Have BSME or equivalent experience
  • Have 5+ years experience mechanical design of light industrial machinery
  • Have 3+ years experience in the packaging industry, Pharmaceutical Packaging preferred
  • Project Engineering and/or Project Management a plus
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations on CGMP and their application in machine design
  • Be able to conceptualize, design and communicate technical information
  • Be innovative, resourceful and disciplined when resolving technical challenges
  • Calculate drive requirements and ratios, cam profiles, machine timing, actuator forces and similar mechanical engineering functions
  • Work in a fast-paced collaborative team environment
  • Be proficient in pneumatic circuits and devices
  • Have strong knowledge base of fabrication methods and processes such as milling, turning, welding, plating and coatings with an understanding of cost impacts
  • Be proficient in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office products
  • Be proficient in the metric system of measurement

Machine Assembler

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assemble short run blister packaging machinery utilizing specific assembly drawings
  • Assist in inventory management for spare parts
  • Perform FAT runs with customers to meet their specifications and perform moderate trouble shooting
  • Light machining of parts

Qualifications:

  • Familiar with basic mechanical / electrical comprehension, assembly methods and procedures of packaging machines and systems
  • Experience reading and following assembly drawings
  • Experience and knowledge of Servos
  • Basic knowledge of flexible unit dose packaging is a plus
  • Skilled with pneumatics
  • Ability and willingness to be a team player
