A shipped Mactec MTVP200 configuration addressed a specific pouch-filling requirement: putting two different products into the same pouch using separately supplied feeds.
The feeding requirement
The application required two rotary disk feeders with dedicated hoppers. Each feeder dosed one product into the pouch. The original report describes four-sided sealed pouches and sachets.
The configured solution
Operator input selected the quantity from each feed. The published project report states that this configuration could dose up to four of each product into a pouch, with eight items maximum. These quantities describe this project only; they are not universal MTVP200 capacity or output specifications.
The documented milestone
Mactec completed and shipped the machine with the two-feeder configuration described in the original project update.
Questions for a multi-product pouch project
Identify the products, quantity of each, feeding behavior and finished pouch. Explain whether the products need counting, measured dosing or a particular orientation. Discuss inspection, handling and cleaning requirements as part of the proposed configuration.
