Two MT-150 Blister Packaging Machines Complete FAT
Two Mactec MT-150 blister packaging machines passed a customer’s factory acceptance test before being prepared for shipment. The project combined two components in each blister and required inspection of both the package and its contents.
The packaging requirement
The customer needed a coldform deep-draw blister containing a testing vial and a desiccant pouch. The original project report identifies this as a healthcare/medical-device application.
The configured equipment
The two MT-150 machines included pinhole detection and a vision system for presence verification and rejection. Those were requirements of this particular project, not a statement that every blister machine includes the same inspection equipment.
The documented result
The customer visited Mactec for factory acceptance testing. Both machines passed that process and were being crated for shipment when the original project update was published.
What a similar project needs to establish
Define the products in each blister, the forming material and depth, the loading method and the defects the inspection system must detect. Agree on representative samples and acceptance criteria before comparing configurations.
