Mactec Packaging Equipment
Edibles, Gummies and Cannabis Product Packaging Machines
Gummies, chocolates, mints, lozenges, powders and liquid doses: edibles come in formats that unit-dose packaging already handles well, and the same compact machines that package pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products package them. Mactec builds three machine families in Sayreville, New Jersey, and the right one depends on how the product is handled, not on the ingredient.

Gummies and solid pieces: blister packs
A blister pack holds each piece in its own cavity. The NANO-XL small blister pack machine lists gummies among its applications and forms, fills and seals blisters in one compact machine, with thermoforming or cold forming; the MT-150XL does the same at small-to-medium production volumes. Blister packs show the piece, keep doses separate, and take the lot and date print your label plan needs. The blister packaging machines page compares the three blister platforms.
Powders, liquid doses and small pieces: sachets
Single-dose powders, such as a drink mix or a dissolvable, and measured liquid doses run on the MTVP160 and MTVP200 vertical form fill seal sachet machines: the machine forms the sachet from a roll of film, doses the product, then seals, perforates and cuts it. Multi-lane configurations make several sachets per cycle; stick packs are a multi-lane configuration of the same platform.
Placed products: pouches
Products that must be positioned rather than dosed, such as a chocolate, a pressed piece or a strip, run on the MTHP150 horizontal form-fill-seal pouch machine, which lists edibles among its applications, with pick-and-place loading.
What to decide before you talk to us
- The product and how it is handled: counted pieces, a measured powder or liquid, or a placed item.
- The package your state and your brand require (child-resistant, opaque, resealable) and the label content. You confirm the package meets the rules that apply where you sell; we build the machine around the package you choose.
- Doses per package and output per hour.
- Film or blister material, preprinted or plain; lot and date coding.
