Nutraceutical and Supplement Packaging Machines
Tablets, capsules, gummies and single-serving powders: supplement, vitamin and other nutraceutical products come in the same unit-dose formats that Mactec’s compact machines package for pharmaceutical customers. Mactec builds them in Sayreville, New Jersey, and the right nutraceutical packaging machine depends on the product and the package, not on the ingredient.

Tablets, capsules and gummies: blister packs
A blister pack holds each tablet, capsule or gummy in its own cavity. Blister packs show the product, keep doses separate, and take the lot and date print your label plan needs. The MT100 small blister pack machine forms, fills and seals blisters in one compact machine for tablets, capsules and gummies. The MT150 does the same at small-to-medium production volumes, and nutraceutical products are among its listed applications. Both form the cavities by thermoforming or cold forming. The blister packaging machines page compares the blister platforms side by side.
Single-serving powders: sachets
A single serving of powder, such as a drink mix, runs on the MTVP100 and MTVP200 vertical form fill seal sachet machines: the machine forms the sachet from a roll of film, doses the powder, then seals, perforates and cuts it. Multi-lane configurations make several sachets per cycle. The MTVP200’s wider web suits larger doses, multi-lane sample and unit-dose pouches, and nutraceutical sachets. The guide Powder sachet filling machines covers how a powder flows, how dusty it is and what makes a good seal.
Counted tablets and capsules in a sachet
Tablets and capsules can also go into a sachet instead of a blister. The MTVP100 can be fitted with an automatic tablet feeder, including a three-lane tablet feeding system, so each sachet receives a counted dose. Tablets and capsules require a defined feeding and counting approach, so the feeder is reviewed with your samples. For pharmaceutical sachets and strip pouches, see pharmaceutical pouch and sachet packaging.
What to decide before you talk to us
- The product: tablets, capsules, gummies or a powder, and how many go in each package.
- The package: a blister card or a sachet, and the label content. You confirm the package meets the rules that apply where you sell; we build the machine around the package you choose.
- Doses per package and output per hour.
- Film or blister material, preprinted or plain; lot and date coding.
